Bankruptcy paralegals — work the cases, skip the office
We prepare Chapter 7, 13 & 11 petitions and plans for attorneys, and we're always looking for sharp, U.S.-based bankruptcy paralegals to join our bench. Fully remote, 1099 contract, per case or hourly — take on as much or as little as fits your life.
Apply nowWhat you'd do
Prepare filing-ready bankruptcy work from attorneys' intake packages — petitions, the means test, Schedules A–J, the Statement of Financial Affairs, and Chapter 13 plans — inside the attorney's software, ready for their review and signature. You handle the production; the attorney owns the advice, the client, and the courtroom.
What we look for
- 2+ years preparing consumer bankruptcy cases (Chapter 7 and/or 13)
- Fluency in Best Case, Jubilee, or NextChapter
- Comfortable with the means test, Schedules A–J, the SOFA, and Chapter 13 plans
- CM/ECF filing experience
- U.S.-based, detail-obsessed, and reliable on deadlines
Big plusses
- Chapter 11 experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Membership in NACBA or a paralegal association
- Experience across multiple districts' local rules
The setup
- • Remote, U.S.-based — work from anywhere in the U.S.
- • 1099 contract — per case or hourly, flexible volume.
- • Bankruptcy only — you go deep, not wide.
- • Real support — a senior paralegal reviews early work; clear SOPs.
