NextChapter's cloud filing is built for speed, but speed at the filing stage doesn't help if the case still has to be built by hand first. Someone has to enter the intake, run the means test, assemble the schedules, and reconcile every figure against the source documents. That preparation is where solo and small-firm attorneys lose the most time — and it's the part we take off your plate so the case is ready to finalize and e-file.
Two ways to work together
NextChapter is collaborative, so you choose the arrangement that fits your firm. Invite us into your workspace as a collaborator and we prepare the case in place; or keep access entirely in-house and let us build a complete, filing-ready case from your intake package for your team to finalize. Nothing about your workflow has to change, and the attorney-client relationship, the review, the signature, and the filing stay with you.
What we prepare
- Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions ready for your NextChapter workflow
- Means test (Form 122A / 122C), including above-median calculations
- Schedules A–J and the Statement of Financial Affairs
- Creditor matrix and required disclosures
- Chapter 13 plan drafting when you want it included
- A filing-ready case, verified against the intake documents
Because we do bankruptcy exclusively, the person on your case already knows the forms and the means test — you're not training a general assistant. And because we bill a flat fee per case, you can add capacity in a busy month without carrying a salary or an extra software seat year-round. We prepare; you review, sign, and file, under your supervision.
Flat per-case pricing
A personal Chapter 7 is $300 per case and a business Chapter 7 is $400. Chapter 13 is $400 without plan drafting or $500 with the plan drafted. Chapter 11 is $90/hour with an estimate up front. Firms filing 10 or more cases a month receive a 10% volume discount.
Frequently asked questions
How do you work with a firm that files in NextChapter?
Two ways, depending on your preference. If you invite us into your NextChapter workspace as a collaborator, we prepare the case directly there. If you'd rather keep access in-house, we prepare a complete, filing-ready case from your intake package for your team to finalize in NextChapter. Either way you review, sign, and file.
How much does NextChapter paralegal support cost?
Flat per case: $300 for a personal Chapter 7, $400 for a business Chapter 7, and $400 (without plan) or $500 (with plan) for a Chapter 13. Chapter 11 is $90/hour with a written estimate up front.
Can you handle the means test and the Chapter 13 plan?
Yes — the means test (including above-median calculations) and the Chapter 13 plan when you want it drafted, prepared for your review and signature.
Is there a commitment to try it?
No long-term contract. Try us on one NextChapter case and see how the work holds up before you send more.
